<< because nobody knows what's gonna happen, to _anyone >>

to keep away evilshortly i will write out the story of three adventures on the subject of strength and fear, each one a day trip from sundance.

heading out on these day trips i saw the aftermath of a truck accident. it was an orange truck. the accident was a day old when i first saw it: the driver or his body already taken away, the truck still there overturned, its cabin crushed in, its cargo of tomatoes in crates all spilled and tossed, enough tomatoes to fill the ditch and spill over onto the road, red. without a trace of irony the red fruits splattered along the asphalt, the red flesh torn and bleeding. nearby in the gravel a piece of a blue turkish eye that might have hung from the rearview, to keep away evil. by today only the tomatoes left by the roadside, hornets buzzing.
